Terms & Conditions:
1. Promoter
This promotion is run by the Mad Butcher Christmas Savings Program in New Zealand.
2. Promotion Period
The Spin the Wheel Promotion runs from 23 March 2026 to 19 April 2026 (inclusive).
3. Eligibility
This promotion is open to members of the Mad Butcher Christmas Savings Program with a savings balance of $50 or less.
To qualify for the promotion during the promotion period, members must either:
- Start and activate a payment contribution, or
- Increase their existing weekly savings contribution by $5 or more.
Members who are not currently contributing must activate a minimum payment plan of:
- $5 per week, or
- $10 per fortnight, or
- $20 per month
to qualify for the promotion.
The promotion is open to New Zealand residents who are registered members of the Mad Butcher Christmas Savings Program.
4. How to Enter
To participate in the promotion, members must start or increase their savings contribution during the promotion period.
Members may do this in the following ways:
Direct Debit:
If you pay by direct debit, simply email [email protected] with the keyword BOOST followed by your chosen BOOST amount. Upon receipt of the keyword, you will receive an email confirmation that your BOOST payment request has been updated to your payment schedule.
Automatic Payment:
If you pay by automatic payment, simply update your payment amount through your bank, and you will automatically qualify for the promotion once the increased payment is received.
Once an eligible payment is received into the Mad Butcher Christmas Program bank account, the member will receive an email containing a link to play the digital game “Spin the Wheel.”
Each qualifying payment will provide the member with three (3) chances to spin the Spin the Wheel digital game.
The promotional email may take up to 3 working days to arrive after the qualifying payment is received.
5. The Game
Participants will spin the Spin the Wheel digital game to determine whether they have won a prize.
Winning outcomes are randomly generated within the Spin the Wheel digital game system.
Prize quantities are limited and not all participants will receive a prize.
The odds of winning depend on the number of prizes remaining at the time the game is played.
Winners will be notified instantly on screen after spinning the wheel.
6. Prize Pool
The total prize pool is $2,000 in savings top-ups, consisting of various prize values including $500, $200, $100, $50, $20, $10 and $5.
Prizes are limited and will be awarded randomly through the Spin the Wheel digital game while available.
Prizes are limited and available while stocks last – all prizes must be won.
Winning prizes will be credited directly to the winner’s Mad Butcher Christmas savings account within 5 working days of the prize being won.
7. Prize Conditions
Prize amounts will be applied as a savings credit to the member’s Mad Butcher Christmas savings account and will contribute toward the member’s savings balance.
Prizes:
- are not transferable, or
- are not exchangeable
- cannot be redeemed for cash
8. Redemption Conditions
Prize funds must be used in accordance with the Mad Butcher Christmas Savings Program terms and conditions and may only be redeemed at participating retailers during the official redemption period.
9. Account Cancellation
If a member cancels their account:
Prizes:
- Any Mad Butcher promotional top-up funds are not refundable, and
- Any Spin the Wheel digital game prize funds already credited must be used during the redemption period and cannot be refunded as cash.
10. Promotion Administration
The Promoter reserves the right to:
- verify the validity of entries and payments
- disqualify any participant who does not comply with these Terms & Conditions
- cancel, suspend, or modify the promotion if required due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control.
11. Technical Conditions
The Promoter is not responsible for technical issues, system outages, email delivery delays, or other technical problems that may affect participation in the promotion.
12. Liability
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury suffered in connection with this promotion or any prize awarded.
The $500 Christmas Club Top-Up Promotion
Terms & Conditions:
Promotion Name: The $500 Christmas Club Top-Up Promotion
Promoter: Mad Butcher Holdings Ltd, 125 The Strand, Parnell, Auckland
Promotion Type: Game of chance.
Promotion Period: The Promotion will commence at 12:00am Thursday 20 March 2025 and close at 11:59pm Sunday 20 April 2025.
Entry Restrictions: This promotion is only open to residents of New Zealand for deposits made in New Zealand. Entrants must be 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees (and their Immediate Families) of the Promoter, the Participating Store, or its parent companies, subsidiaries, or affiliated companies, or any agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
The Promoter is responsible for determining whether a person is an eligible entrant in its absolute discretion. The Promoter may require entrants to provide reasonable proof that they meet the requirements for entry in the Promotion.
How to Enter: Participants must make a weekly deposit into their Mad Butcher Christmas Club account during the Promotion Period.
- A “weekly deposit” is defined as at least one deposit made within each consecutive seven-day period during the Promotion Period.
- Each eligible weekly deposit qualifies as one entry into the prize draw.
- A maximum of four entries per participant is allowed (one per week during the Promotion Period).
Prize Draw: A random electronic prize draw will be conducted at Mad Butcher Holdings Ltd, 125 The Strand, Parnell, Auckland, to determine the winners.
Prize Details: Two (2) lucky winners will each receive a $500 deposit into their Mad Butcher Christmas Club account.
- The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Notification: Winners will be contacted by phone or email within seven (7) days of the Promotion Period ending. Prize will be added electronically to the winners’ Christmas Club account.
Unclaimed Prize Draw: If a prize remains unclaimed or is forfeited for any reason, the Promoter may conduct a further draw or draws as the Promoter deems necessary to distribute any unclaimed prize(s), subject to any written directions under relevant Lottery and Gaming Regulations.
Entry Limits: Participants are allowed one entry per week, with a maximum of four entries during the promotional period.
Additional Prize Terms: If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter in its discretion reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a replacement prize of equal value. Prizes are valued in New Zealand dollars. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the Prize value. Prize winners are advised that tax implications may arise from their Prize winnings and they should seek independent financial advice prior to acceptance of their Prize.
Terms and Conditions: Information on how to enter and prize details form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
All entrants acknowledge that the Promoter can rely on these Terms and Conditions even if the Promoter only learns of a person’s ineligibility after the Promoter has awarded a prize. Return of the prize or payment of its equivalent value to the Promoter may be required if this occurs.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entrants who disrupt, annoy, or attempt to tamper with the Promotion. The Promoter also reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the promotion if unforeseen circumstances arise.
The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties required for the provision of the Prize. Entry is conditional on providing this information.
